I'm a software engineer based in Tbilisi, Georgia. I started in 2017, and I've spent most of the nine years since on backend systems that handle payments in one form or another.
Right now I'm at Chiliz, working on a public blockchain and the services built around it. I write Go and Solidity there, and I've been writing JavaScript and TypeScript the whole time. Blockchain is just where I've ended up rather than something I identify with. The actual problems are the ones you get anywhere money moves around: things fail halfway through and you need to be able to recover them, and when somebody asks what happened to a payment, you need a real answer.
Before Chiliz I was at Biznetx for four and a half years. I built their crypto payment platform and most of the internal tooling the operations team used to keep it running.
I build iPhone apps in my own time. Ripasso is one of them. I also lift most days, and somewhere along the way I got certified as a personal trainer through NASM.
